I.I.M.

Indian Institute of Management is a top most management institute established by Government of India. In entire India, there are only six colleges of IIM which are situated at

Amongst these six colleges, attraction and reputation of IIM, Ahmedabad is of significance. Cracking CAT (Common admission test) for admission to IIM is must. For applying for CAT, the candidate should have degree of bachelor in any discipline. Candidates holding degrees like B.Sc., B.E., B.Tech., BAMS, BHMS, MBBS, B.Pharm etc. have particular attraction for IIM as the students of MBA from IIM is in great demand by multinational companies, corporate sector. Compared to the Commerce and Arts Graduates, engineers and Science graduates can score more in this exam and when Graduation of science branch is tagged with MBA Degree, it is nothing less than 22 carat gold.

For admission to MBA :

It is essential to clear CAT exam for admission to IIM college in Gujarat.

For admission to any other college apart from IIM in Gujarat, you have to appear for Gujarat Common Entrance Test (GCET). This exam is held in the month of June-July. For appearing in GCET, graduation from any branch with 50% marks is essential. Students who are yet to appear for last year examination of graduation can also fill form for GCET. Pursuing MBA course outside Gujarat:

Joint Management Entrance Test (JMET) is conducted for admission to management courses offered by Indian Institute of Technology (IITS) and Indian Institute of Science (IISC) where graduates from any discipline – Science, Engineering, Technical, Agriculture, Pharmacy – are eligible. Post Graduates in Commerce and Economics can also appear for JMET.
