Vocational Training Course of I.T.I.

With a view to create necessary skilled manpower in the country, National Skill Development Mission has been constituted by the Government of India under direct supervision of Prime Minister Dr.Manmohan Singh, under which various States have been allocated huge amount of Rs.20,000/- for carrying out Skill Development Program.

Admissions are being granted on merit basis to the candidates for 1-year Certificate Course in Data Preparation and Computer Software (DPCS) in the following Industrial Training Institutes (ITI) of Gujarat :

  2. Station Road, Ankleshwar
  3. Tarsali Road, Vadodara
  4. Opp. Sub-Station, Surendranagar
  5. Vidhyanagar, Bhavnagar
  6. Kheralu Road, Visnagar
  7. Gandhinagar
  8. Palanpur

Special Short-term courses:

Eligibility:

Standard-12 pass with certificate in computing.

  1. Internet, Email Service and Webpage development
  2. Financial Accounting with Inventory System on Computer
  3. DTP Windows-98, CorelDraw, Pagemaker
  4. Web Designing Using HTML, DHTML and JAVA script
  5. Client Server Technology using Oracle and Developer-2002
  6. Multi-media
  7. Computer Maintenance and Repairing (hardware level)

I. T. (Information Technology)

1-year recognized two types of SCVT pattern courses with English and Gujarati medium.

ITI Computer :

Computer Operator-cum- Programming Assistant.

Eligibility:

Standard 12 pass with knowledge of English typing. ITI are set up by the Government of India for getting ready necessary manpower and more particularly, skilled work training, at every district and Taluka level.

Study from Home :

Government ITI certificate can be obtained by appearing in examinations for following two courses :

  1. Introduction to Computer : Windows 98 Operating System and M.S. Office 2000 (For Std. 10 pass).
  2. Auto CAD – Eligibility : Standard 12 Science pass.

Application forms can be obtained and submitted at all the Industrial Training Institutes of the State.

Various courses being conducted at ITI viz. Automobile, Electrician, Mobile Repairing etc. which are very useful for employment at lower level.

Work of infrastructure development at existing ITIs in the country and establishment of new ITIs is being carried out at fast pace by the Congress-lead Union Government for skilled manpower development under various schemes of Union Government as a part of which, provision has been made in the Union Budget for Rs.750 crores on opening 500 new I.T.I.s and modernization of existing I.T.I.s.
